These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of miasccf.org and related online services operated by Mia’s Canine Cancer Foundation (“Mia’s CCF,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. Mission and Informational Purpose

Mia’s CCF is organized to support its charitable mission relating to canine cancer awareness, education, and research. Website content is provided for general educational and informational purposes.

2. No Veterinary or Medical Advice

Information on this website is not veterinary, medical, diagnostic, treatment, or other professional advice and is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified veterinarian or other appropriate professional. If you have questions about an animal’s health, diagnosis, symptoms, or treatment, consult a licensed veterinarian.

3. Donations

Donations are voluntary charitable gifts intended to support Mia’s CCF and its charitable purposes. Donations are subject to the Donation & Refund Policy posted on the website.
 

A donor may request that a gift be made in honor or memory of a person or animal. Unless Mia’s CCF expressly agrees in writing to a legally restricted gift, tribute language, comments, preferences, or designations submitted through the website are treated as expressions of donor preference and do not create a legally enforceable restriction on the Foundation’s use of the gift.
 

Mia’s CCF will describe its federal tax-exempt and deductibility status accurately based on the status in effect at the time of the donation. Donors should retain donation receipts and consult their own tax advisers regarding deductibility.

4. Recurring Donations

If recurring giving is offered, you authorize the applicable payment processor to charge the selected amount at the frequency you choose until the recurring donation is canceled. You may request cancellation of future recurring charges using the method provided through the donation platform or by contacting Mia’s CCF. Cancellation does not automatically refund donations already processed.

5. Events, Merchandise, Sponsorships, and Other Transactions

Mia’s CCF may later offer event registration, merchandise, sponsorship opportunities, or other transactions. Additional terms, eligibility rules, waivers, fulfillment information, or refund rules may apply and will be presented when applicable. The charitable-deduction treatment of a payment may differ when goods or services are provided in return.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the website. You may not knowingly interfere with website security or operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious code, impersonate another person, use the site for unlawful activity, or use Foundation content in a way that falsely suggests endorsement, affiliation, or authorization.

7. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the website’s original text, graphics, logos, branding, layout, and other Foundation-created content are owned by or licensed to Mia’s CCF and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and share links to our public content for personal, noncommercial, educational, or charitable purposes, provided you do not alter the content or misrepresent its source.

Photographs and stories relating to Mia and other animals may have personal, licensed, or third-party rights associated with them and may not be copied for commercial use without permission.

8. Third-Party Content and Links

The website may contain links to third-party resources or organizations for convenience or education. A link does not necessarily constitute endorsement. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, privacy practices, or services.

9. Website Availability and Accuracy

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent federal law applies.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will be posted on the website with its effective or updated date. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
